WHAT WE DO

Fiona Ryan has over twenty years experience in personal injuries, litigation, and in particular specialist experience representing people who are infected with Hepatitis C through infected blood/blood product transfusions, administered in Ireland, before the Hepatitis C and HIV Compensation Tribunal and the High Court.

The Tribunal became a statutory body in 1997 and through further legislation in 2002 its remit was expanded further.

In 2019, the last full year of confirmed cases according to Health Protection Surveillance Centre for Ireland, there were 474 confirmed new cases of Hepatitis C, 352 male, and 122 female. Already in 2021, at the start of March, there were 80 new confirmed cases of Hepatitis C.  See links below and for details and information about the National Hepatitis C Treatment Programme.

If you have been recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C and think you may have received blood and/or blood product transfusions before 1992, please contact us you may be able to bring an application before the Tribunal.
